Way about doing this model/photography thing?
So next year I’m hoping to be in Italy, doing study abroad. I am wanting to somehow get into the modeling business (whether for modeling or photography), and I will most likely be in Milan. So I guess I have several questions:
1. Where do I start once in Milan?
2. What do I need to present possible employers as a photographer?
3. As a model?
I am 5′11″, 155 pounds, lean/muscular, but I plan on trying to add a bit more 5-10 pounds hopefully. Thanks for the help…oh also I have some of my photography online and you can tell me if I have a chance in hell! I’m still working on the gallery, it loads a bit slowly and it might not work quite right in IE 6, anyhow you can get an idea. Thanks

modeling and photography are two very different things.
I see no pictures of you on your website – only pictures of girls that you are friends with. The pictures are okay, but without more experience and training, you will not make it as a photographer. Get your degree in photography and get a set of strobes and learn studio lighting if you really want to think about being a photographer. Also, look at lots of pictures and edit the pictures you take down to a couple shots per shoot. You also need to work on learning composition and developing greater skill with and control over the camera.
If you want to be a model, get some good shots done of you and make a comp card and get your face out there as much as you can. You will probably want to use an agency at first. You are right that you are a skinny guy and could pack on some muscle, but you should be able to find some work with the physique.
